Save the Date for an upcoming Respect Life Conference to be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016. This event will be hosted by Catholic Charities Diocese of Charlotte, and Christ the King Catholic High School has graciously allowed us to hold the conference at their school in Huntersville.
Fr. Joseph Koterski, S.J. will open the event with mass and a keynote presentation. Lunch and workshops will follow. Please view the attached flyer for more information. Further details will be provided later in June on the www.ccdoc.org website.

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Charlotte invites Diocesan Parish Respect Life Coordinators and all people of good will to join together in prayer and educational engagement to strengthen our efforts to promote a respect for human life, particularly at its most vulnerable stages.

Saturday, August 27, 10:30 am – 3:30 pm Christ the King Catholic High School (2011 Crusader Way, Huntersville, NC 28078)
Mass in the Chapel of Christ the King Catholic High School, celebrated by Fr. Koterski, S.J. at 9 am. Coffee and light refreshments from 9:45 am – 10:30 am.
Conference begins with keynote presentation at 10:30 am. Lunch provided at noon. Two workshop blocks offered from 1:00 to 3:15 pm. Details on ccdoc.org by June 20.
About the speaker: Fr. Joseph Koterski, S.J., a Professor of Philosophy at Fordham U., regularly teaches courses on natural law ethics and on medieval philosophy. He also teaches at St. Joseph’s Seminary in New York. At Fordham, Fr. Koterski has received the “Undergraduate Teaching Award” and “Graduate Teacher of the Year Award.” He has recently served on the Board of Trustees of Belmont Abbey College, and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Cardinal Newman Society, and the Board of Directors of University Faculty for Life. He holds a Ph.D. from St. Louis University and a M.Div. and a S.T.L. from the Weston School of Theology in Boston.
Catholic Charities is pleased to host this event in gratitude for the ministry of parish Respect Life Coordinators. Accompanying guests and those interested in promoting the Church’s work to respect human life are welcome.
