Location: Crown Ballroom of the Charlotte Convention Center
(Located in the NASCAR Hall of Fame Building)

Time: Check-in begins at 5:30 PM; Dinner starts at 6:30 PM

FEATURING KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Kerri Caviezel (wife of actor Jim Caviezel)

Kerri Caviezel has devoted her life to working with youth. After earning a degree in education from Western Washington University, Kerri spent eight years teaching junior high and high school, and ten years, with her second love, coaching basketball. Her interaction with young people made it evident to her that there is a great need for guidance and education to counteract the cultural message of death constantly being thrust on the youth today.

About 17 years ago, Kerri started counseling at the Pregnancy Counseling Center in Mission Hills, California. With her teaching experience, speaking on issues concerning the Sanctity of Life became a natural outgrowth to spread a preventative message of help, hope, and truth.

This 17 year journey has taken Kerri around the United States and the Globe, speaking at World Youth Day in Cologne, Germany in 2005, the Atlanta Eucharistic Congress, Chicago Pro-Life Conference, St. Louis Pro-Life Conference, Abbeyfest, New Orleans, Michigan Right to Life, Right to Life of Southern California, and other memorable venues. She also had the privilege of appearing twice on “Life on the Rock” one of EWTN’s (The Eternal Word Television Network) programs to discuss crisis pregnancy counseling and adoption. Kerri is married and has three children. In her own words, “What a gift it has been to speak to people of all ages but especially teenagers who are the hope of our future.”

Voiceless Movie Screening Fundraiser for Charlotte Center for Women

On Sunday, October 9th at 7pm,  Stanton Charlotte will host a private screening of Voiceless, a new pro-life film from Movie to Movement.
Voiceless follows Jesse Dean and his struggles in activating his church community to stand up against the abortion business situated directly across the street.
Stanton Charlotte feels that this film is the push that’s needed to motivate our local pro-lifers to SPEAK UP against the atrocities currently happening in our hometown.
Co-executive producer Jason Jones will attend and will host a question-and-answer period immediately following the film.
The movie will be at AMC Concord Mills. You can purchase tickets and read more about the film here:  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/stanton-charlotte-presents-voiceless-with-co-executive-producer-jason-jones-tickets-27686526145

_____________

Stanton Healthcare/Charlotte Center for Women is excited to offer a private screening of the pro-life film Voiceless, with a Q and A session with Jason Jones immediately following the movie.

Voiceless is about Jesse Dean, a recently discharged soldier who had a rough upbringing. But because of his wife, Jesse finds God and now is totally devoted to his faith.

He moves to Philadelphia to take a new job as an outreach leader at an old church whose membership has been declining. As he transitions in this new job, he discovers there’s an abortion clinic directly across the street from the church.
He attempts to encourage action from the pastor and other members of the church, but to no avail. But then something tragic and personal happens to himand he realizes he must take action himself. The more involved he gets, the more resistance he receives from those in his church and community. His wife, who thinks his actions will get him fired or land him in jail, also stands against him.
Finally, he must make a choice: is he going to take the easy way out and back off, which is what everyone wants him to do, or will he face a major confrontation which will require him to put everything on the line…not just his job, but his freedom and marriage as well.

This film encourages people to stand up for what they know is right, particularly as it pertains to taking God’s truths into society to address social issues. It addresses the spirit of retreat as it pertains to engaging the culture that has developed within the Church.

Jason Jones is the producer of Crescendo, 2011, Eyes to See, 2010 and the 2006 film Bella, which won several film industry awards, most notably the People’s Choice Award at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival. Jason is the associate producer of the 2008 film, The Stoning of Soraya M. which won the NAACP Image Award in 2010 as well as the Los Angeles Film Festival Audience Award in 2009. Jason has won 15 International awards and has raised over 5 million dollars for Pregnancy Centers across the United States and Canada.

Family Rosary Rally

Mark your calendars and join us for our 2nd annual Family Rosary Rally!

Last year’s event at Planned Parenthood drew a crowd of nearly 400, so this year we’re switching locations to the stadium at Charlotte Catholic High School so that number can grow!

There is one crucial response we must give for the heartbreaking events we are witnessing all around us—PRAYER. Prayer for the sanctity of human life and the sanctity of human families.

Just like last year, this event is taking place on the feast of a saint who rallied together a coalition of the faithful to fight the evil of their time through prayer, action, and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary—St. Maximilian Kolbe, patron saint of families and the pro-life movement.

There is great beauty and power in publicly coming together as Catholics and American citizens to lift our hearts and voices to heaven for our families, for our communities, for our country, and for the world.

As St. Maximilian Kolbe taught us by example, we need to strengthen our faith and devotion, and be a united force for advancing God’s kingdom as the salt and light Jesus Christ has called us to be. Let’s come together and commit our intentions to Immaculate Heart of Mary through the spiritual weapon she has given to her children—the holy rosary!

Let’s pack out the stadium!

WHEN: Sunday, August 14th,

WHERE: 7702 Pineville-Matthews Rd. Charlotte, 28226

TIME: 3:00pm – 4:30pm

BRING: rosaries, water bottles, sun hats, family, and friends.

In the event of rain, the event will be moved to the school gym.

Please share this event with family and friends, and print and post this flier:
