Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat

As we all know, the ministry for post-abortion healing is greatly needed, and the recent videos that have been released regarding Planned Parenthood may be causing new (or old) wounds to open up in many women who are in need of healing.

There is hope, healing and forgiveness following abortion. Rachel’s Vineyard is a weekend retreat for women and men to begin their healing journey.

The next NC retreat is September 18-20, 2015 in the Asheville area, and there will be one in the Charlotte area October 9-11, 2015.

For more information, please contact Shelley Glanton at 828-230-4940 or sglan1234 (at) aol.com; or Jennifer Ganser at 336-209-2161or jmganser (at) charlottediocese.org, or visit: rachelsvineyard.org.

Life Chain is in its 28th year! Life Chain is a peaceful pro-life protest where concerned citizens gather on Respect Life Sunday to give a public witness for LIFE. They spread themselves 25-30 feet apart on a busy street near their parish, holding signs with pro-life messages for passersby to see. It is a silent, prayerful witness. Participates are encouraged to pray the prayers on the back of the signs.

Check your local parish for the time of their Life Chain, or check the website below for a list of participating parishes. If your parish isn’t listed, learn at the website below on how to start this annual pro-life event at your parish.

  • Stand with thousands of pro-life individuals throughout the USA and Canada in honor of millions of babies whose lives have been lost to abortion.
  • Pray for people in crisis situations and for our nations.
  • Bring your whole family!
  • Water, lawn chairs, umbrellas and strollers are welcome and encouraged!
  • Rain or shine!

Parish Respect Life Coordinators are encouraged to promote this annual event at their parishes for Respect Life Sunday, which is always the first Sunday in October.

We hope to see you on the street!

Oct 3rd Procession for Life - Charlotte Helpers

We have a special treat with Fr. Mark Shuey coming from Raleigh to celebrate again with us the beautiful Divine Liturgy (Byzantine Catholic) and to lead us in prayer at the abortion clinic.

The Divine Liturgy will begin at 9:30am in the chapel; Mass will also be celebrated in the church across the courtyard at 10am. Both liturgies should finish at about the same time – just an FYI to keep in mind in the event that we have such a large crowd that an “overflow” liturgy should be needed, so to speak!

The procession will begin at Latrobe Dr. at approximately 11am. Gather together down the road from from the clinic where you find the Our Lady of Guadalupe banner.

St. Luke – 40 Days for Life Day

On Saturday October 3rd, St. Luke Respect Life Ministry will pray at the Latrobe abortion mill as part of the 40 Days for Life campaign.
