presentsOct 3rd Procession for Life - Charlotte Helpers

Procession for Life

Saturday, October 3rd at St. Basil the Great Catholic Mission (meeting in the chapel at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish: 1400 Suther Rd., Charlotte, 28213). 9:30am Divine Liturgy followed by prayer with Fr. Mark Shuey at A Preferred Women’s Health Center (3220 Latrobe Dr. Charlotte, 28211). Procession begins at 11am.

We have a special treat with Fr. Mark Shuey coming from Raleigh to celebrate again with us the beautiful Divine Liturgy (Byzantine Catholic) and to lead us in prayer at the abortion clinic.

The Divine Liturgy will begin at 9:30am in the chapel; Mass will also be celebrated in the church across the courtyard at 10am. Both liturgies should finish at about the same time – just an FYI to keep in mind in the event that we have such a large crowd that an “overflow” liturgy should be needed, so to speak!

The procession will begin at Latrobe Dr. at approximately 11am. Gather together down the road from from the clinic where you find the Our Lady of Guadalupe banner.

Fall 40 Days for Life Campaign

40 Days for Life is a community-based campaign that takes a determined, peaceful approach to showing local communities the consequences of abortion in their own neighborhoods, for their own friends and families. It puts into action a desire to cooperate with God in the carrying out of His plan for the end of abortion. It draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a three-point program:

  • Prayer and fasting
  • Constant vigil
  • Community outreach

Sign up your parish, ministry, or family to cover a block of hours or even a full day during the 40-day campaign using the link below.
