54-Day Rosary FAQs

How do I pray the Rosary?

To learn how to pray the Rosary please click here.

What is a 54-day Rosary novena?

It’s a series of 6 novenas of Rosaries (each novena 9 days) first introduced by Our Lady in 1884 to a young girl in Italy. The first 27 days are done for the petition, followed by another 27 days in thanksgiving.  Please see Fr. Richard Heilman’s website for more background/explanation on the 54-Day Rosary novena (click here).

How do I pray a 54-day Rosary novena?

It’s simple, begin the 1st day of the novena with the Joyful Mysteries, 2nd day, Sorrowful mysteries, and the 3rd day the Glorious Mysteries. Then on the 4th day, repeat sequence again. See chart below.

Chart courtesy of www.romancatholicman.com
Per Fr. Heilman: People have asked over time about the Luminous Mysteries — this novena was given by Our Lady as noted above in 1884 and only allows for the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries.

40 Hours Devotion at the Cathedral

The Cathedral of Saint Patrick invites all the faithful of the Diocese of Charlotte to a special Forty Hours Devotion to take place Thursday, May 30th through Saturday, June 1st in the Cathedral. During this forty hours of adoration and prayer, we wish to honor Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart and Her Queenship, as well as our Lord’s Precious Body and Blood.

It is our strongest hope and desire that at least three people remain in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament during each of the forty hours of this devotion. If you wish to serve as an adorer, please sign up online:

At the conclusion of the devotion, we will celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and then process behind a relic of the True Cross to the future site of an abortion facility, located at 700 South Torrence Street off Kings Road, where we will pray for the protection of the unborn.

Can a chemical abortion be reversed?

If you saw the movie Unplanned, you saw the terrible side effects a chemical abortion pill can have on a woman (and sadly of course on the baby).

Yet what if a women takes the RU 486 abortion pill and quickly regrets her decision, can she still save the baby?

On Tuesday May 21st, learn how a local Catholic doctor developed an abortion pill reversal procedure that has indeed reversed chemical abortions before it was too late and saved lives of many babies.
